These terms apply when you use this website (www.atomtutors.com) or book lessons with Atom Tutors. Atom Tutors is run by Deepayan Srivastava, based in India. By booking or paying for lessons, you agree to these terms.
The service
Atom Tutors provides 1-to-1 online tutoring in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for school curricula including IB, Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level, Edexcel, CBSE and ICSE/ISC. Lessons take place over a live video call at times agreed with the family.
Students under 18
If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must arrange the lessons and agree to these terms on the student's behalf. Parents are welcome to ask for updates on progress at any time.
Booking and fees
- The first 20-minute introductory call is free.
- Lessons are charged by the hour. Your hourly rate is confirmed with you before any payment is taken.
- Lessons are paid for in advance through our payment page, processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card details.
- There is no contract or minimum commitment. You can stop at any time.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Lessons and conduct
- Please join on time from a quiet place with a working internet connection, camera and microphone where possible.
- We expect respectful behaviour from everyone in a lesson, and may end a lesson if this isn't the case.
- Lessons are not recorded unless both sides agree beforehand.
Learning materials
Notes and worksheets we share are for the student's own personal study. Please don't publish or resell them. Coursework and Internal Assessment guidance is given in line with exam board rules: the student's submitted work must remain their own.
Results
We work hard to help every student improve, but exam results depend on many things, including the student's own practice. We cannot guarantee a particular grade or result.
Accounts
Parent accounts on this website are created by us on request. Please keep your login details private. We may switch off an account that is misused.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to our tutoring services is limited to the fees you paid for the lessons concerned. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, and changes don't affect lessons you have already paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
