Atom Tutors is run by Deepayan Srivastava and provides 1-to-1 online tutoring. This policy explains how payments, cancellations and refunds work. We want it to be simple and fair to families.
Free introductory call
The first 20-minute call is free. Nothing is charged, and you are under no obligation to book lessons afterwards.
How lessons are paid for
Lessons are charged by the hour, at the rate agreed with you on the free call. Payment is made in advance through our secure payment page, processed by Razorpay. There are no contracts or long-term commitments: you pay only for the hours you book.
If you need to cancel or move a lesson
- 24 hours' notice or more: the lesson is rescheduled free of charge, or the hour is kept as credit for a future lesson.
- Less than 24 hours' notice, or a missed lesson without notice: the hour is counted as used. We understand emergencies happen. Please tell us and we will always try to help.
If we cancel a lesson
If a lesson is cancelled by us, or cannot go ahead because of a problem on our side, you can choose to reschedule it or receive a full refund for that hour.
Refunds for unused hours
You can ask for a refund of any prepaid hours that have not yet been taught. Hours already taught, and late cancellations as described above, are not refundable.
How to request a refund
Email us at hello@atomtutors.com or message us on WhatsApp, with the student's name and the payment date. We will confirm the refund within 3 working days.
How long refunds take
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method (card, UPI or bank account) through Razorpay. Banks usually credit the amount within 5–7 working days, sometimes longer for international cards.
Failed or duplicate payments
If money was taken from your account but the payment failed, or you were charged twice, the extra amount is normally reversed automatically by your bank or Razorpay within 5–7 working days. If it isn't, contact us and we will sort it out.
How lessons are delivered
All lessons are delivered online over a live video call (Google Meet) at the time agreed with you. Lesson times are confirmed on WhatsApp or by email, and notes are shared digitally. No physical goods are sold or shipped.
